Swine Flu

What is Swine Influenza? Swine Influenza (swine flu) is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A influenza virus that regularly causes outbreaks of influenza in pigs. Swine flu viruses cause high levels of illness and low death rates in pigs. Swine influenza viruses may circulate among swine throughout the year, but most outbreaks occur during the late fall and winter months similar to outbreaks in humans. The classical swine flu virus (an influenza type A H1N1 virus) was first isolated from a pig in 1930.

How many swine flu viruses are there? Like all influenza viruses, swine flu viruses change constantly. Pigs can be infected by avian influenza and human influenza viruses as well as swine influenza viruses. When influenza viruses from different species infect pigs, the viruses can reassort (i.e. swap genes) and new viruses that are a mix of swine, human and/or avian influenza viruses can emerge. Over the years, different variations of swine flu viruses have emerged. At this time, there are four main influenza type A virus subtypes that have been isolated in pigs: H1N1, H1N2, H3N2, and H3N1. However, most of the recently isolated influenza viruses from pigs have been H1N1 viruses.

Swine Flu in Humans

Can humans catch swine flu? Swine flu viruses do not normally infect humans. However, sporadic human infections with swine flu have occurred. Most commonly, these cases occur in persons with direct exposure to pigs (e.g. children near pigs at a fair or workers in the swine industry). In addition, there have been documented cases of one person spreading swine flu to others. For example, an outbreak of apparent swine flu infection in pigs in Wisconsin in 1988 resulted in multiple human infections, and, although no community outbreak resulted, there was antibody evidence of virus transmission from the patient to health care workers who had close contact with the patient.

How common is swine flu infection in humans? In the past, CDC received reports of approximately one human swine influenza virus infection every one to two years in the U.S., but from December 2005 through February 2009, 12 cases of human infection with swine influenza have been reported.

What are the symptoms of swine flu in humans? The symptoms of swine flu in people are expected to be similar to the symptoms of regular human seasonal influenza and include fever, lethargy, lack of appetite and coughing. Some people with swine flu also have reported runny nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

Can people catch swine flu from eating pork? No. Swine influenza viruses are not transmitted by food. You can not get swine influenza from eating pork or pork products. Eating properly handled and cooked pork and pork products is safe. Cooking pork to an internal temperature of 160°F kills the swine flu virus as it does other bacteria and viruses.

How does swine flu spread? Influenza viruses can be directly transmitted from pigs to people and from people to pigs. Human infection with flu viruses from pigs are most likely to occur when people are in close proximity to infected pigs, such as in pig barns and livestock exhibits housing pigs at fairs. Human-to-human transmission of swine flu can also occur. This is thought to occur in the same way as seasonal flu occurs in people, which is mainly person-to-person transmission through coughing or sneezing of people infected with the influenza virus. People may become infected by touching something with flu viruses on it and then touching their mouth or nose.

What do we know about human-to-human spread of swine flu? In September 1988, a previously healthy 32-year-old pregnant woman was hospitalized for pneumonia and died 8 days later. A swine H1N1 flu virus was detected. Four days before getting sick, the patient visited a county fair swine exhibition where there was widespread influenza-like illness among the swine.

In follow-up studies, 76% of swine exhibitors tested had antibody evidence of swine flu infection but no serious illnesses were detected among this group. Additional studies suggest that one to three health care personnel who had contact with the patient developed mild influenza-like illnesses with antibody evidence of swine flu infection.

How can human infections with swine influenza be diagnosed? To diagnose swine influenza A infection, a respiratory specimen would generally need to be collected within the first 4 to 5 days of illness (when an infected person is most likely to be shedding virus). However, some persons, especially children, may shed virus for 10 days or longer. Identification as a swine flu influenza A virus requires sending the specimen to CDC for laboratory testing.

What medications are available to treat swine flu infections in humans? There are four different antiviral drugs that are licensed for use in the US for the treatment of influenza: amantadine, rimantadine, oseltamivir and zanamivir. While most swine influenza viruses have been susceptible to all four drugs, the most recent swine influenza viruses isolated from humans are resistant to amantadine and rimantadine. At this time, CDC recommends the use of oseltamivir or zanamivir for the treatment and/or prevention of infection with swine influenza viruses.

What other examples of swine flu outbreaks are there? Probably the most well known is an outbreak of swine flu among soldiers in Fort Dix, New Jersey in 1976. The virus caused disease with x-ray evidence of pneumonia in at least 4 soldiers and 1 death; all of these patients had previously been healthy. The virus was transmitted to close contacts in a basic training environment, with limited transmission outside the basic training group. The virus is thought to have circulated for a month and disappeared. The source of the virus, the exact time of its introduction into Fort Dix, and factors limiting its spread and duration are unknown. The Fort Dix outbreak may have been caused by introduction of an animal virus into a stressed human population in close contact in crowded facilities during the winter. The swine influenza A virus collected from a Fort Dix soldier was named A/New Jersey/76 (Hsw1N1).

Is the H1N1 swine flu virus the same as human H1N1 viruses? No. The H1N1 swine flu viruses are antigenically very different from human H1N1 viruses and, therefore, vaccines for human seasonal flu would not provide protection from H1N1 swine flu viruses.

Swine Flu in Pigs

How does swine flu spread among pigs? Swine flu viruses are thought to be spread mostly through close contact among pigs and possibly from contaminated objects moving between infected and uninfected pigs. Herds with continuous swine flu infections and herds that are vaccinated against swine flu may have sporadic disease, or may show only mild or no symptoms of infection.

What are signs of swine flu in pigs? Signs of swine flu in pigs can include sudden onset of fever, depression, coughing (barking), discharge from the nose or eyes, sneezing, breathing difficulties, eye redness or inflammation, and going off feed.

How common is swine flu among pigs? H1N1 and H3N2 swine flu viruses are endemic among pig populations in the United States and something that the industry deals with routinely. Outbreaks among pigs normally occur in colder weather months (late fall and winter) and sometimes with the introduction of new pigs into susceptible herds. Studies have shown that the swine flu H1N1 is common throughout pig populations worldwide, with 25 percent of animals showing antibody evidence of infection. In the U.S. studies have shown that 30 percent of the pig population has antibody evidence of having had H1N1 infection. More specifically, 51 percent of pigs in the north-central U.S. have been shown to have antibody evidence of infection with swine H1N1. Human infections with swine flu H1N1 viruses are rare. There is currently no way to differentiate antibody produced in response to flu vaccination in pigs from antibody made in response to pig infections with swine H1N1 influenza.

While H1N1 swine viruses have been known to circulate among pig populations since at least 1930, H3N2 influenza viruses did not begin circulating among US pigs until 1998. The H3N2 viruses initially were introduced into the pig population from humans. The current swine flu H3N2 viruses are closely related to human H3N2 viruses.

Is there a vaccine for swine flu? Vaccines are available to be given to pigs to prevent swine influenza. There is no vaccine to protect humans from swine flu. The seasonal influenza vaccine will likely help provide partial protection against swine H3N2, but not swine H1N1 viruses.

Filem Yasmin Ahmad, Talentime..Apa dah jadi? (yoyooh.com)

Talentime, filem Yasmin yang mendapat pujian ramai terutama dari blogger-blogger filem, termasuk blog kecil ini, tidak berjaya mendapat sambutan yang menggalakkan dari penonton. Ini dapat dilihat dari hasil jualan tiket yang hanya disekitar (atau tidak sampai) Rm 500 ribu setakat yang aku tahu.

Apa yang menyebabkan perkara ini terjadi?

Mengikut survey yang aku lakukan terhadap beberapa penonton Melayu secara rawak, aku mendapat respon ini.

1. Talentime adalah kembar Sepet dan Gubra. Kebanyakan penonton tidak mahu melihat cerita yang seakan sama berulang kali. Mereka mengambil keputusan untuk menanti kemunculan Talentime di dalam bentuk DVD haram.

2. Harith Iskandar dan Adibah Nor. Mereak tidak mahu menonton pelakon yang sama dan membawa watak yang hampir sama berulang kali. Oleh itu, mereka mengambil keputusan untuk menantikan kemunculan Talentime di dalam bentuk DVD haram.

3. Strategi promosi yang mengelirukan. Trailer Talentime di TV disalah tafsir sebagai satu iklan/komersil produk kecantikan. Ini kerana sangkaan mereka Talentime di sini merupakan jenama bedak terbaru dari Silky Girl dan bukannya sebuah filem.

4. Talentime adalah satu tajuk filem di dalam perkataan bahasa inggeris. Majoriti penonton yang menggunakan 100 peratus komunikasi di dalam bahasa Melayu sehari-hari tersalah sangka bahwa filem ini merupakan filem orang putih . Sekiranya tajuk filem ini ditukar kepada ' Malam Pesta Muda Mudi' kemungkinan besar sambutan terhadap filem ini akan berbeza.

5. Trailer yang menggelirukan bagi sebuah filem Melayu kerana 'lagu' orang putih yang dinyanyikan oleh Hafiz. Ini menyebabkan penonton menyangkakan filem ini di dalam bahasa Inggeris.

6. Lagu Urdu sewaktu trailer, (apa ntah nama tajuknya itu...Ore Piya...kalau tidak silap) telah mengelirukan lagi identiti filem ini. Kekeliruan dan ketidak jelasan penonton terhadap filem ini telah mengakibatkan mereka tidak berminat mengambil risiko kehilangan Rm8-12 secara sia-sia.

7. Hero dan heroin yang tidak dikenali.

Ini adalah antara jawapan yang diterima dari survey yang aku lakukan. Mungkin ada blogger lain yang mempunyai pandangan kritis mereka sendiri tentang hal ini.

Lagi-lagi Filem

Kuala Lumpur International Bookfair 2009

It was on 18th April. Aku baru je lepas habis exam pada hari tersebut. Malamnye, best friend ku Yassin datang dari UIAM Kuantan. Dia ni student Majoring Biomarine. So kami sembang2 habis2an pada malam itu...

Kesimpulannya:

1. Dia sekarang dah ade awek baru. Feewit... Seperti biasa, syarat2 awek yg dia suka, awek tu mesti lagi tinggi dari dia. haha... Adoyai...

2. Dia dah ade diving licence. Bukan driving ye.. DIVING. huhu... Mak aih... Bangga betol dia ade diving licence. Sekarang Yassin officially boleh dikira penyelam berlesen diiktiraf diserata dunia.

3. Dia dah terbitkan buku keduanye yang bertajuk "Hantu Lagenda".

So pada keesokan harinya aku pegi ke PWTC untuk mencari buku tersebut disamping meluangkan masa bersama Coklat. Thanx Coklat kerana sudi teman... ^^

Coklat membeli sebuah novel tebal yang membosankan (katanya....hahaha). Aku tak ingat tajuk dia ape... Dan aku rasa novel nipis ini lebih menarik untuk dibaca. hohoho... Nanti aku da habis baca novel nie, aku tulis review nye pulok.

Kalau korg nak membeli buku secara banyak, sila lah datang ke Book Fair ini. Ade diskaun dari 10 - 15 %, disamping dapat berjumpa dengan beberapa artis terkenal jika anda bertuah. (walaupon aku tak kenal) Nak jalan2 disamping mencari awek yang suka membaca pon boleh. Hahaha...

Competition oh Competition!

Actually, there are two things in my mind that I want to participate. Alhamdulillah. Rezeki murah. Banyak jugak offer-offer berfaedah yang aku dapat buat selain dari ambik short semester and belajar hari2 pegi kelas kat HS yang membosankan tu. Hahahah... Sabo je la ko Jai...

Earth Hour 2009

Masa Earth Hour 2009, aku tutup lampu bilik aku, sekali dengan sumer lampu rumate aku. tapi xnak la gelap sangat. So aku main komputer. haha! Sedar2, satu jam (8.30pm - 9.30pm) berlalu dengan pantas. hahaha...

Aku hanya perlu tutup lampu kan...? komputer boleh still di bukak kan? haha... ape agaknye korang tengah buat time earth hour yek?

Kepada semua pembaca, kami telah officially releasekan iklan "Anything" dan "Whatever" kami pada semua kawan2 yang terlibat dalam pembikinan iklan tersebut pada 5 Februari. Tapi sayangnya aku tak dapat nak sharekan dengan korang walaupun aku nak sangat2 berbuat demikian kerana tidak mendapat kebenaran dari ahli2 group aku. Sayang beb. Hak Cipta Terpelihara. Kalau ade rezeki, diorang nak proposekan iklan ni kepada company "Anything" dan "Whatever" itu sendiri. I admit it that our commercial was very good. Our lecturer DR. Baiduri was very impressed. But personally, kepanjangan iklan kami hampir kepada nak mampos. Kire belom mampos lagi la. 1 minit dan 25 saat.

Dalam kiraan kami, iklan 1 minit 25 saat jika ditayangkan celah2 Buletin Utama untuk satu bulan, kosnya boleh mencecah RM 1.5 juta. Nanti temenong promotion team diorang... nak terima ke xnak... Tu baru sebulan, dan itu jugak baru satu kali tayang dalam sehari. Kalau nak tayang lebih dari sekali dalam sehari? Kalau nak tayang sampai 2 - 3 bulan? total up sendiri la kos nya. Kalau dapat pendekkan iklan tu 2, 3 saat pon dah boleh jimatkan beberapa ribu. Lagi satu, banyak benda lagi aku kena belajar dalam dunia merakam dan mengedit nie. Iklan tu pon bukan aku sorang yang edit. Ade orang pakar tolong. Aku tengok angel2 aku ambik, kawan2 yang xpaham tu memang la rasa best je tengok.

But above all, aku as part of this crew, memang nak sangat la company tu terima iklan kami. Amin... Harapan aku pada masa akan datang, aku akan ade peluang yang lebih banyak untuk menceburkan diri dalam dunia rakaman dan editing (Readers, edit dalam BM ape ah??) dan ade peluang untuk belajar dari yang pakar. Bestnye...

Asalnye, kalau xdapat nak tunjuk commercial tu kat korang, at least aku dapat tunjuk "behind the scene" pon aku dah rasa cukup puas hati. Tapi skali ade member aku yang spoilkan part behind the scene yang aku tgh edit. Tak ke panas aku... :><"@$<#%<@#

Ape2 pon, kalau korang betul2 nak tengok iklan yang kitorang dah buat tu, korang datang la kepada salah seorang ahli2 group aku, iaitu aku sendiri, emilia, akmal dan mira. Kami semua sentiasa ada di HS Cafe UIAM. Haha.. Muka-muka kami semua ade dalam post lepas. Bukan ape... kitorang nak kenal pasti kepada sape kitorang distribute iklan ni. Bak kata ahli2 group paranoid aku ni cakap, "Hak Cipta Terpelihara". Nanti dah copyright baru kitorang decide balik samada nak releasekan ke public or not.

"Anything" and "Whatever" Drinks Advertisement - 1st Day

::24 Jan::9 pagi lebih:: Kami berkumpul di HS Kafe sebelum bertolak ke tempat shooting kami. Lepas sumer dah breakfast, tunggo Bro. Ben sampai dulu. Dia bagi kitorang sewa lighting dia dgn RM 160 untuk dua batang. Murah tuu... Ade satu company yang kami ade try nak mintak sewa, dia boleh bagi full package of production items. Skali RM1000++ da... mane nak cari duit.

Pukul 10 something kami bergerak ke rumah kawan kami di Bangi. Rumah kawan kami di bangi tu akan berkahwin pada 25hb. Namanye Amilia. Dia tu baik. "Korang buat la ape korang nak dgn pelamin aku nie. Asalkan jangan rosak sudah. Haha!" Kata Amilia. Sportingnye ko dan satu family ko. Nanti kitorang bagi korang free air ANYTHING dan WHATEVER kami. Haha...

Satu kereta 4 orang, so total crew kitorang ada 12 orang. The main crew is 4 people only. Iaitu aku, Mira, Akmal dan Emilia. Yang selebihnya ialah rakan2 seperjuangan yang sedia menghulurkan bantuan. Mira in charge bahagian directing dan dia la master mind kitorang. Nad yang baik hati ikut kitorang dan membawa dua konconya yang sangat banyak membantu. Amy in charge bahagian technical stuffs dan semua item2 yang berkaitan dalam menjayakan advertisement ini. Akmal in charge bahagian modelling. So, crew dan para pelakon yang selebihnya ialah yang direcruit oleh Akmal. Antaranya ialah Ecam, Yana, Said Kamil dan Omar. (alamak, aku rasa macam tertinggal lagi satu nama pelakon tapi ta tau sape) Diorang sumer sangat memahami. Sanggup tak balik cuti semester! Really thankful to all of you!

Di tempat kejadian, Said Kamil dan Yana sebagai pelakon utama terus bersiap untuk berlakon dengan mamakai baju pengantin. Thanks to Mahfuz dan Mira. Mak cik Mahfuz sangat baik. Kami dapat pinjam semua kelengkapan pada pakaian pengantin secara FREE OF CHARGE! Jangan main2. Mira pulok jadi kaki bodek yang sangat berjaya pada hari tu. Satu2 dia mintak, sumer pon dapat. Mahkota, Make up box, segala benda2 yang tergantung kat baju pengantin tu sumer dia sapu. Hebat2.. Rapport sangat penting! huhu...

Shooting start lambat cket sebab banyak unexpected things happened. Aku 1st time main lighting jadi pening cket. Mane nak letak natam2 nih. Last2 pacak je kat tempat yang aku rasa sesuai dan munasabah. Tapi semua benda nie aku dah expect dah. So, nothing is shocking to me. Aku lupe nak ambk gambar lighting tu. So, aku masukkan gambar yang ade ternampak lighting tu la ye.

Scene dalam rumah melibatkan dua orang kanak2 berlari menaiki tangga dan mengumumkan ketibaan pengantin lelaki kepada pengantin perempuan. Dua budak2 ni adalah sepupu Amy dan diorang memang berbakat. Sangat mudah nak shooting scene diorang. Xbanyak songeh. Opss. Pelakon2 lain jgn trase ye. Huhu...

Scene 3::Scene bilik pengantin:

Scene akan dimulakan dgn dialog mak andam yang cerewet (Haha! Sorry Nad!) sedang sibuk make-up pengantin. "Kalau xcantik, jangan salahkan saya" Lebih kurang macam tu la dialognye. Huhu... Lepas tu pengantin perempuan segera turun apabila tahu pengantin lelaki dah sampai.

Scene 4::Scene rombongan:

Di sini pengantin perempuan datang ke sisi pengantin lelaki, dan mereka berarak ke pelamin. Di sini adalah antara scene yang paling mencabar sebab semua pelakon terpaksa berjemur di tengah panas. Thanks sangat2 to all!

Scene 5::Scene pelamin:

Scene nie adalah scene klimas iklan ini. Pengantin perempuan terkejut apabila ternampak salah satu hantaran adalah sedulang air anything and whatever yang banyak Haha! Yana bertungkus-lumus untuk membuat mimik muka yang betol. Kamil pulak berusaha untuk buat reaksi terkejut bila Yana pengsan. Thanks to Yana and Kamil!

So, korang sepatutnya dah boleh bayangkan berapa orang yang telah terlibat dalam menghasilkan iklan ini, dan brapa kos keseluruhan. Group kitorang boleh je nak buat ala2 kadar. Tapi, kami sekumpulan telah bersepakat untuk gain a worthy experience throughout this project. Yang penting, kami semua sangat happy dengan apa yang kami usahakan. (^^,)

Hari nie aku bukak account 4shared.com aku. Lepas tu aku prasan, satu lagu yang aku baru upload telah hilang. "EH? Pegi mane?" Tajuk lagu tu "All American Rejects - Move Along". Aku teringat aku baru je share lagu tu kat dalam previous post.

Ramai giler orang datang. Canopy banyak keping pon xcukup. Laku rupenya perkahwinan Kak Miha. Nanti turn aku kawen ramai x yang datang? Hmm.. Last2 kitorang pilih laluan alternatif dan makan di tempat seperti di atas. Haha. Pejalan kaki tengok kitorang buat muka tebal je.

Selepas makan hingga kenyang, Wady melayan emosi, Aizat malu2, Kak Zira dan Ct. Zoo control comel.

Korang penah dengar x nama produk air neh? Pada 18 Mei 2008, Out of the Box Pte Ltd telah melancarkan dua minuman ringan berjenama "Anything" dan "Whatever". Unik kan nama air2 neh? Kalau korang nak tahu, Out of the Box Pte Ltd sebenarnye ialah sebuah media company. Kat mane boss dia terhantok aku pon xpasti, at the end diorang istiharkan company diorang sekarang ialah beverage company. Congrats to Mr Johnson Tan for this unique concept.

Now, what so special about this soft drinks anyway? Cube korang teka dulu... Kalau yang dah tahu, jangan begitahu orang sebelah atau mengada2 nak sms kawan bagitahu jawapannya. Sila tinggalkan jawapan anda di bawah: (Kah Kah Kah)

Konsepnya begini... Kalau korang perasan kat gambar tue, tin Anything warna silver, tin Whatever pulok warna yellow. Guess what? Currently at Malaysia, korang cume akan dapat dua warna nie je. But it has different taste in every can. So, the good thing is, next time korang nak beli soft drinks tak payah la buang masa fikir nak flavour ape. Just pick Anything and Whatever!. The different is, Anything is a carbonated drink, Whatever pulak non-carbonated drink. Bak kata orang Jowo:

"For those who make desicions as a daily routine, having something that has been decided for you is fun!"

Is it lucky or the opposite way? Setakat nie aku dah minum 3 tin Anything dan 3 tin Whatever. Hmmm... Dan aku rasa aku asyik dapat flavour yang sama je. Anything asyik dapat air yang berwarna Orange. Tapi, dalam list of choices diorang xde flavour Orange. So, I don't think its an Orange. huhu... Untuk Whatever pulak, it comprises of different kinds of tea. 3 kali minum, aku xdapat detect jugak perbezaannya. Haha! In my opinion, we teens are highly prefer Anything because it is a carbonated drink. I'm having fun drinking it. But don't forget to drink Whatever as well. Kiter main teka2 la... Selamat Pengantin Baru Kak Miha!

::27 Dec:: Pukul 10 pagi, aku (of kos la), Izzi, Wady, Pzin, Izat, Irfan, Mizi, dan Fitrah bertolak serentak ke Chenor, Pahang. Suasana adalah sangat nyaman. Hmm... Ramai yang ambil peluang untuk mengadakan majlis perkahwinan pada hujung2 bulan dan awal2 tahun nie. Aku bila lagi? Amin... Semoga dimurahkan rezeki.

Abg Mizi was leading the road to rumah Kak Miha. Sedar x sedar, kami sekereta (Izzi, Wady, Pzin, aku) dah xnampak diorg kat depan lagi. Mane x nye kami naik Myvi. Diorg naik Wira. Myvi 130kmj dah bergegar habis. Kami yg dok kat blakang terus pakai tali pingang. So testimoni2 kawannya cakap Abg Mizi ni memang jadi tabiat dia bawak kreta laju2. Asal masuk highway je 140kmj. Asal 140kmj je masuk highway. Ambik selekoh pon 120kmj. Mantap2. Aku doa kan kau panjang umur lah ye. Amin..

Sesampai kat kawasan rumah Kak Miha, kami tak terus ke rumah dia. Kedai runcit yang berdekatan ketika itu adalah lebih menarik. Mane tak nye. Semua baru nak pegi beli hadiah. So Abg Mizi dgn Fitrah berkongsi satu hadiah, aku Abg Pzin dan Wady kongsi satu hadiah. Aku bagitahu je la ape barangnye. Mesti Kak Miha dan suami sekarang tgh seronok menggunakannya. Penyangkut baju. Hahaha.

Selain happy dapat jumpa Kak Miha, sebab aku dah lama gile tak jumpa dia, happy dapat tengok Kak Miha dalam baju pengantin. Nice gitu. First time aku nampak memang aku xcam tu Kak Miha. 10 saat kemudian baru aku yakin pengantin berbaju hijau tu Kak Miha. Sape suro cantik sangat. Adik2 akak lambat la nak cam. Huhu..

Tak lupa jugak, aku sangat happy dapat jumpa geng2 AKHI yang datang dgn jumlah yang ramai. Ramai yang dah grad. Dapat tengok sumer abang2 dan kakak2 senior kumpul bersama mengimbau kembali kenangan 1 - 2 tahun lalu ketika kami sama2 berjuang mendidik generasi2 baru. (^^,)

A birthday present from her beloved husband

Dah subuh dah. And I dont sleep yet. Nevermind. Kejap lagi aku bertolak balik KL. Dari Kelantan ke KL dalam 5 - 6 jam seingat aku. So aku ade 5 - 6 jam masa untuk tido dalam kereta nanti. Ahaks!

Kalau korang baca blog aku, kali ni korg prasan aku post lebih sikit. Ni kire balas dendam lama xtulis blog lah ni kiranye. Ade satu benda lagi aku nak crite kat korang. Sesampai je aku kat rumah mak cik aku, aku terpanau (terpanau??) pada satu benda kecil, comel lagi futuristik. Dan aku sangat suka kombinasi warna hitam dan putih. SANGAT SUKA! Begini rupanye:

::11 Desember::Stesyen Bas Puduraya:: Beberapa minit sebelum pukul 5 petang, satu acara telah diadakan oleh sebuah syarikat bas tempatan. Acara menolak bas "Puduraya - Kulim" ini diadakan julung2 kalinya sempena memberi kekuatan kepada bas tersebut untuk bergerak sendiri tanpa ditolak lagi. Mereka yang terlibat mendapat sokongan dan perhatian ramai. Acara sebegini dapat memberi impak positif kepada semua penonton dan pengguna untuk menggunakan kenderaan awam yang disediakan oleh syarikat bas lain.

Lebih kurang 15minit kemudian, Ahmad Usamah akhirnya tiba ditempat kejadian. Abangnya iaitu aku telah tiba 10 minit lebih awal seperti para penonton lain. Usamah mengucapkan setinggi perhargaan ke hadrat ilahi kerana dengan limpah kurnianya pertandingan itu telah diadakan ketika kelambatannya ke stesyen bas tersebut. Acara diteruskan sehingga pukul 5.30 petang. Ianya tamat apabila bas sudah boleh bergerak sendiri tanpa ditolak oleh staff2 syarikat bas tersebut. Semua kelihatan berpuas hati. Kesemua para penonton akhirnya berasa lega kerana dapat menaiki bas tersebut yang sepatutnya dijadualkan bergerak pada pukul 5 petang. Usamah amat bersyukur acara itu diadakan. Harapanku supaya acara ini diadakan sekali lagi ketika aku pula yang bakal lambat tiba di stesyen bas.

Hmmm... raya tahun nie kami adik beradik dan sepupu seperjuangan lebih banyak membantu untuk preparation dari biasa. 2 hari sebelum raya kami dah start buat macam2 aktiviti. Kalau habis satu kerja, aku slalu cabut kejap buat benda2 yang tak berfaedah dan lain2. Tapi, adik aku, Usamah, non-stop dia menolong rakyat2 dlm rumah Haji Isa (atuk aku). Respect ah! ::Kisah Atukku:: Setiap kali raya, atuk sentiasa bersemangat untuk menjayakan hari yang mulia ini. Sedang semua asyik menonton TV di hadapan, atuk rajin mencuci pinggan di dapur, membuang sampah sarap ke tong majlis perbandaran, memastikan gate rumah sentiasa tertutup, tika mak cik2 tak cukup tangan didapur, atuk akan jadi yang pertama menyahut, "Xpe. Part tu biar aku settle kan". Pak cik2 macam2 biasa, badan xterangkat pon. That includes my dad. Mengarah je tau. Kalau korang tanya aku faktor utama aku banyak membantu di kampung, (selain daripada terpaksa) tak lain dan x bukan sebab aku kesian kat atuk aku.

Dia pernah cakap sekali kat aku. "Nasib baik aku ade cucu macam korang. Dah xde sape lagi dah boleh atuk harap untuk atuk mintak tolong. Kalau Raya, atuk mesti sentiasa nak yang terbaik. Korg je la atuk boleh harap. Sape tau... ini mungkin raya terakhir korg dengan atok..." Dia suka cakap macam tu. Aku mendengar je la. Terasa syahdu di hati...

::Unforgettable moment 2004:: There was a moment that keep on lingering in my mind. A five minutes moment. Setiap kali raya, kami barisan sepupu lelaki akan ramai2 tidur dan solat di ruang utama. Dalam pukul 4.30 pagi aku terjaga sebentar dari tidur. Aku ternampak atuk selesai bertahajjud. Lalu diikuti dengan takbir raya. Aku pasti, aku terdengar atuk menangis. Setakat yang aku tahu, dia belum pernah menangis ketika takbir. Tapi kami semua tahu, 2004 adalah tahun pertama atuk beraya tanpa nenek. It must be very hard for him... Menyedari orang tersayang sudah tiada lagi disisi pada keesokan hari dek disahut Ilahi...

Kalau aku bercerita pasal grandparents aku, sampai esok pon xhabis. How do I say this... I love them more than my parents. Since I was born, my grandparents raised me more than my parents did until I am seven.

Movie Review: Iron Man - "Tony Stark did it in the cave!"

It looks like marvel has decided to put another superhero comic into a motion film. Before I watch this movie, what in my mind is - "Hai...another superhero movie. I wonder how they going to make this movie fun to be watched (because i don't know the history of Iron man)". And, fuyyo!! This is among the best movie I ever watched! Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark) really makes the character alive! His act is amazing, his attitude makes people really laugh and we can really see Tony Stark's cleverness through the movie. It was really awesome! The suit armor was really beautiful and very impressive! I think everyone will be thinking to have it one. huhuhu...

Synopsis:

Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is the CEO (at 21 yeras old!) of Stark Industries which produces advance weapon systems for the U.S. military. Tony's father started the company after WWII, and after his death Tony inherited the company, worth billions. Tony lives the life as a hard drinking, rich playboy ladies man, but he is also a genius who has invented many high-tech items for the company. Tony flies to Afghanistan to demonstrate a new weapons test to the United States Air Force. On his way back to his plane, his convoy is attacked by terrorists, and Tony is wounded by a Stark Industries missile. Tony is captured and held hostage in a cave with Yinsen (Shaun Toub), a doctor who saves his life. The terrorists force Tony and Yinsen to reproduce the new destructive Jericho missile Tony was demonstrating from parts of other weapons. Instead, Tony decides to build a suit of armor with Yinsen's help. The suit gives Tony the strength and protection to be able to escape the terrorists. Back in America, Tony builds a better suit of armor which gives him superhuman strength with the ability to fly. With the help of his personal assistant Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) and Air Force Lieut. Colonel Jim Rhodes (Terrence Howard), Tony vows to protect the world as Iron Man.

Movie Review: "CJ7" - It's better then your "CJ1" toy!

Believe me or not, I watched 2 movies in a row. LOL

There was a boy named Dicky Chow who live a hard life with his father because they are very poor. All the things in their house are second-hand (and worse) stuffs that his father took from garbage. One day, his father found something strange in the garbage and give it to his son. That is CJ7, an alien pet. CJ7 have a unique abilities that can turn things back to a good condition, but it cost the power from CJ7's "battery". So, the boy started to live and play around with CJ7, until one day a tragic accident happened and CJ7 have cost his "battery" dead.

Overall, it is a funny story, just like kung-fu Hustle. But for me, Kung-fu Hustle are few times better then CJ7. In my opinion, Stephen Chow are lack of creativity in making this movie. Some part of the movie is unnecessary and the ending was below from my expectation. If you watch till the end, you will tend to have a discussion such as, "Ala.... naper dia xbuat ending begitu n begini...," Klu sape yg belum tgk CJ7 and eager to watch it, sorry to spoil your mood. Huhu... by the way, it's my opinion... CJ7 still fun to be watched and the boy is cute. =)

Movie Review: The Mist

There's something in the mist!

Last weekend aku dah tengok movie nie kat panggung. YUP, the ending was shocking! What I can say, it's great, as expected from Stephen King and Frank Darabont. When it comes to Stephen King's horror stories, mesti Frank Darabont akan berusaha untuk mengadaptasikannya. And it is a success.

First of all, it's not a ghost story, and not a thriller. (Some of you hated to watch this kind of genre) So, xde la menyeramkan sangat. The story started around a small town. Everything started when a heavy storm occured at one night. Later on, mist started to spread around the town and covers everything, makes it almost impossible to see all the things around. Those who stay in the mist for few minutes will be killed by "something".

As expected by Stephen King, he really knows how to make a great horror storyline with unexpected ending. Do not really need to put all the bloodsheding at all part of the movie, (which is kind of annoying sometimes) and all the things was clearly explained. And do not leave the audience tertanya2 before going out from the cinema. In addition, you can really feel the the pressure of the story and the characters' feeling, especially the main actor. He really good in making the character alive. Best. Korg wajib tengok!
